Dr. İsrafil Kurtcephe, `Ermeni olaylarında 1 milyon 400 binTürk`ün öldürüldüğünü Ermeniler kendileri söylüyor. Ama suçlanan maalesef hep biz oluyoruz` dedi. Birinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında, Ermenilerin yüz binlerce Müslüman Türkü öldürdüğünü belirten Kurtcephe, şunları söyledi: `Osmanlıyönetimi, 1915`te düşmanla işbirliği yapan, isyancı Ermenileri uluslararası hukukun kendisine verdiği hakkı kullanarak Suriye ve Lübnan`a göç ettirdi. Bu tamamen ihaneti önlemeye yönelikti. Osmanlı devleti üstelik göç ettirdiği kişilerin can ve mal güvenliğini sağladı.
Who Should Apologize? Turks or Armenians?
The question has been asked thousands of times, usually by foreigners who do not know the history of Ottoman-Armenian and Turkish-Armenian relations. They do not know who to point to and blame. They see the world in black and white, they are looking for an evil to blame. The Armenians want to blame the Turks for an Armenian Genocide. The Turks want to blame Armenians for aTurkish Genocide. Who's to blame?
Most Europeans and Americans grew up learning about the horrible history of the Holocaust. They saw documentaries, videos, and read books about the horrors of Nazi Germany. They see it and they wish they could stop it but know that it is in the past.
Hence, when they are older, they grow up looking for this evil, trying to find where evil is and pretend they can save the world from it.
When they meet an Armenian who tells them of 1915, describing it like the ARF (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) as a systematic genocide equal to the Holocaust, they become activists they decide they now think they know where evil is. Then the Armenian tells them that the Turks "still deny it to this day," and now they have a new "evil" to fight against, the Turks.
What they don't realize is that they are only hearing a distorted story created in 1915 after a gruesome and tragic WWI loss by the Armenians who's rebel groups sided with the Allies against the Ottomans, as a persuasive essay meant to convince Americans and Europeans to bring aid to the poor Christian Armenians.
Using their gruesome stories (some of them true, some of them distorted or exaggerated, and some of them with misidentified villains), for generations they have convinced churches, diplomats, and even nations to send millions of dollars in foreign aid to Armenians and the country of Armenia.
The problem is, they have not been able to accept their inevitable loss in World War I, some of them still think the war is not over and that the Lausanne Treaty of the 1920s will be voided and the outcome of World War I will be different!
Yes, many Armenian nationalists believe they can still win World War I, in the 2000s. Other Armenians believe they can at least seek revenge on Turkey for 1915 by painting the Turks as evil villains equal to the Nazis.
This hate campaign is nothing more than racism combined with Islamophobia, Anti-Turkism, and revenge. It is also a unifying cause for the Armenians, keeping their culture in tact, making Armenians around the world harder to assimilate into the countries they live in.
They believe this unification created by an ancient common foe, will keep them together.
Armenia, in shambles with poverty and political turmoil needs help, and they use the Armenians around the world to send aid to these countries on the pretext that the Armenians suffered genocide because of their neighbors the Turks.
When the reality of their situation was, they fought a war on the Allied side, and when the Allies abandoned them they suffered at the hands of local inhabitants seeking revenge for the Allied-endorsed slaughter.
Hundreds of thousands of Armenians, Turks, Kurds, and other Muslims died in this conflict. And all by fighting rebels, or each other, or the government. There was no systematic genocide. There were no death camps. There were no weapons of mass destruction. And as with all wars, many innocent people died. Many of them from diseases and starvation.
Even the Ottoman army had to go to war hungry and diseased, the Ottoman government was bankrupted but tried all it could to feed its Armenian and Turkish citizens even the ones that were relocated because of hostility or possible rebellion.
Later the leaders of the Ottoman Empire during that time were assassinated one by one by Armenian assassins seeking revenge for what they were led to believe was genocide. Communication being a problem at the time, rumors always spread fast, and when stories of Armenians being massacred spread, it didn't matter who the perpetrators were, historians conclude it was local inhabitants seeking revenge from Armenian rebels or money/food during a time of crisis, but eventually many of them were falsely led to believe it was murder by the government.
The relocation orders only enforced their beliefs in the rumors, even though it was a standard procedure by all European nations at the time to put down rebellions quickly during war-time.
Hence, today we ask who should apologize? The Turks who were fighting for their survival in World War I and whose government tried their best to keep a multi-ethnic society together and stop an Armenian rebellion at the same time? The Armenians who voluntarily rebelled and the Armenians who were forced to rebel by the rebels (they killed their own people and church leaders who opposed rebellion)? What about the Allied powers whose diplomats and leaders encouraged Armenian rebellions while at the same time demanding more rights for Armenians from the Ottoman leaders?
The reality was this was a war. Massacres were common (on all sides). Disease was common. Food shortages rampant. Disease abundant. Survival of the fittest was the only thing that mattered during these times, if you were alone you were robbed or killed for the few pieces of clothes on your back. It was a troubling tragic time, and it all could have been avoided if someone hadn't killed the Archduke.
The fact is, no one needs to apologize, they simply need to move on. Sure you can blame the British for encouraging Arab and Armenian rebellions, you can blame the Russians for killing the Jews, you can blame the Armenians for killing the Turks and Kurds, and you can blame the Kurds and Turks for killing the Armenians, you can blame the Austrians for starting wars, you can blame the Serbs for assassinating Austrians.
The Europeans and Americans understood this blame game, hence why they let it go and stopped thinking about it.
Though when they did seek revenge and punishment, the Versailles Treaty, well that just created World War II! Hence, before you start World War III, stop blaming each other for the past and move on. Before you cry out "genocide", understand that the Holocaust was a very unique case and that no two wars are the same and genocide is a blanket term that can be applied to any war where innocent people died (which is every war)!

Atrocities committed by Armenians with the leadership of Dashnak party against Azerbaijanis go all the way back to 1905.
In 1905, the Armenian Dashnak party, taking advantage of the Russo-Japanese War, attacked the Capital Baku, burned and destroyed more than 300 cities and villages, killed thousands of Azerbaijani civilians, and raped many women. In the Azerbaijani city of Quba, Armenians massacred many Azerbaijani Jews who made up half of the population of this city.
In 1914, at the beginning of the World War I, Russians armed Dashnak Armenians and positioned them in Azerbaijani and Turkish borders to attack Turks from its Eastern borders. In 1915, these forces, with the help of Russians, attacked the Ottoman Empire and destroyed many cities and villages. The Ottoman army defeated them and relocated some to Syria and Lebanon. Remaining armed Dashnak Armenian groups, lead by Morshimon and supported by Russians, occupied the South Azerbaijani city of Urumiye.
On March 16, 1917, Morshimon entered a negotiation with a Kurdish leader Ismail Simitko to find an ally, but at the end of the meeting Simitko killed Morshimon. News of his death reached Urumiye on March 18th. Armenians asked their priests for religious permission to avenge Morshimon’s death and Armenian priests gave consent for 12 hours of killing. Azerbaijani historians, Motamedolvizareh, Tofiq and Dehqan, were eye witnesses to these massacres and wrote details in their daily journals. The daily notes and writings of historian Ahmad Kasravi says that in these 12 hours more than 10,000 Azerbaijanis were killed by Armenians. Tofiq mentions that there were also Jews living in Urmiyeh at the time and Armenians did not even spare the Jews.
Motamedolvizareh states in his book that half of the population, 350,000, were killed and the city was laid to ruin.
At the same time, under the Armenian command of Andranik, the cities of Khoy and salmas were attacked women raped and Azerbaijanis massacred.
In addition to Azerbaijani cities of Urumiye, Khoy, Salmas, Maki, Nakhjivan, Baku, Quba, Genja, Shamakhi, hundreds of other cities and villages fell into Dashnak Armenians fascist atrocities and were razed to the ground.
we should also add that Dashnak Armenians conducted terrorism in North America and Europe, for instance in the capital of Canada, Ottawa, Armenian terrorists assassinated the Turkish ambassador to Canada and his Canadian bodyguard.
Whenever Dashnak Armenians have had the chance, they have committed unimaginable atrocities against innocent Azerbaijani civilians and occupied Azerbaijani territories. During the leadership of Joseph Stalin, Nakhjivan was geographically cut off fromAzerbaijan by taking Zengezur and including it within Armenia. The same thing was going to be done with karabakh during the leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev but this plan was not completed. When Azerbaijan was separated from the USSR, with the help of soviet forces, Armenians occupied Azerbaijani land and massacred thousands of civilians. The Khojali massacre is one of the examples of Armenian atrocities.
In 1993, the United Nations Security Council condemned the Armenian invasion and occupation of Azerbaijani land and adopted resolutions 822, 853, 874, and 884 on the Armenian-Azerbaijani occupation. These resolutions resolutely demanded the immediate, full, and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. However, these demands of theSecurity Council have been ignored by the government of Armenia and to this day 20% of Azerbaijani land is occupied and over 1,000,000 refugees created.
Through this, the south Azerbaijani independence party would like to bring international organizations attention to the fact that to bring peace to the world the events such as these should be treated with fairness and justice. If today the United Nations can repel the Syrian army from Lebanon within two weeks then why haven’t the Armenians repelled from Azerbaijani territories in the last 15 years? If they can repel the Iraqi army from Kuwait in two weeks then why haven’t they done the same with Armenia? What is the reason behind this double standard and not treating this situation with justice?
We are asking for the United Nations to use the same sense of seriousness with the Armenian occupation of Azerbaijan as it used with the Kuwaiti or Lebanese occupations.
We are asking for the implementation of resolutions 822, 853, 874, and 884 and establishment of March 31 as the day to recognize the genocide of Azerbaijanis.

mass grave- sign of genocide in Azerbaijan ,Quba genocide which was done by armenians against azeri people in 1918.
mass grave- sign of genocide
Yesterday i was in Quba, Azerbaijan and visited mass grave. This grave was found in april 2007 during the construction process near the river. Archaeologists explored 500 m² of ground and found that there were burried more than 700 bodies. They were killed with a special violence. On most of skelets there are signs of sharp tools.
But which a happy accident the grave was found. Archelogist kept some places untouched. They hope that historians and archeologist from different countries will come and explore this parts themself. May be after that they can be sure about the things which happend in 31 march 1918.
*What happend in march 1918 in Quba ?
Tragedy in Quba was the part of 31 march genocide which was done my armenians against azeri people in 1918.
In 1918 there a special comission was created for investigating bloodshed in march. A. Novochiy was the head of comission. He wrote in his report.(this report was hidden and learly found)
In april 1918 when Baku was on the hand of Bolsheviks David Gelovani representative of bolsheviks came to Quba with 187 armed soldiers and announced himself as a kommisar of Quba. He offered citizens to accept Soviets. Citizens accepted his offer.
He learn the situation and saw that citizens are freindly. He let free internmented armenians from jail being sure about their safety. It was quit for some days. But one day lezgins from surrounding villages came to Quba and offered Gelovany leave the city with his army. Gelovany refused lezgins offer. Lezgins began the fire. Gelovany had to leave the city. When they leave he Gelovany forcefully took christians with himself. While this shooting some christians were killed they were armenians and russians. Lezgins after this went away to there home.

After a week or two an armed crew moved from Baku, Azerbaijan began moving to Quba. Amazasp was the leader and all soldier were armenians. Some citizen run away but most stayed. They would never think that something terrible can happen to them. They thought that bolsheviks were coming.
Armed crew have enetered to the city without difficulty. Occupation of city was held by massacreing muslim citizens and doing any kind of violence to them. Armenians killed anyone who was on there way, men, women even childrens. bursted in home and were killing whole family, even infant (syckling)babies(they were shooting or notching by daggers on there mothers chest).
They were mocking at muslim citizens. For example they asked honourable old men to bring them muslim women. they killed anybody who was rejecting.more than 2000 citizen were killed. About 200 women were forced.
Crew of Amazasm on the way to Quba destroyed 122 villages. they killed everyone even them who came to them with white flag for peace.
In the statement of Gelovany it is written that Amazasp was sent to Quba with the wish of Shaumyan(one of baku comissars) to punish muslims. Without conset of other kommisars. Tis fact Amazasp conceded himself. he Said to Quba citizen “I’m the here of armenian nation and protector of his interests. I was cent here with the retributive perpose. To take the range of armenians who were killed two weeks ago. I didn’t come here to set Soviet government. Iwas ordered to kill all muslims from Caspians sea to mountain Shahdag as was done in Shirvan(city Shamaxi – part of march genocide). But i ‘m forgiving u .”
